Home of the Ladderback - Since 1938, Chair City Wayside Furniture Company continues to create furniture for heirlooms of tomorrow. We are a family-owned business that was started by Ralph Curcio and William Lehtinen to build chairs for local and regional furniture manufacturers where they sold our chairs under their names. Over the years, we have expanded to offer unique heirloom furniture to the public as well. We are proud to be part of the Gardner, Massachusetts, community, and celebrate the city's 225-year anniversary. Gardner is home to numerous furniture manufacturing companies and Chair City Wayside is one of the few remaining chair manufacturers today. The company has been highlighted on the Chronicle TV program and has been featured in the Boston Globe newspapers, Gardner News and other local newspapers.
