Brainchild Events brings to St. Louis, Pins and Needles. Combining creativity and innovation with artistry, six designers will showcase their clothing lines and compete for a $15,000 grand prize package to advance their career. Over a dozen sponsors are coming together to produce the event and the cultural venue, The Majorette will add a historic charm and a modern sensibility to the show. In addition, there will be a pre-show where more designers will showcase their collections!

Brainchild Events and Rock Uniform continue to create opportunities for emerging fashion designers. This year, the companies have rebranded its annual fashion show; Pins and Needles, into an emerging Designer Competition.

Fashion industry professionals have been reviewing candidate portfolios from around the country and will soon announce the top five designers participating in this year's Pins and Needles Designer Competition.

Pins and Needles serves as an opportunity to elevate the success of emerging designers in the area. Truly Alvarenga of Pink Elephant Designs went on to St. Louis Fashion Week in 2014 and won $1,500 in the People’s Choice Award. Pins and Needles celebrates the diversity of these influences and supports collaboration between the arts through events that integrate live music, fine art, street art, performance art and dance.
