General information

Signal 88 Security of Octorara earned the title of Franchise of the Year for 2012. Our staff and clients also helped us join the Million Dollar Club in 2012. In March of 2012, our Octorara was named Franchise of the Month.

Signal 88 launched in 2003 in Omaha by former deputy sheriff Shea Degan after he saw a need for better security at commercial properties, including apartment complexes and hospitals. Today, the company has 70 locations around the country. Each Signal 88 Security franchise office is independently owned and operated.

Peter Mango, a former police chief, opened the Octorara franchise in 2009. Clients include the Brandywine Hospital in Caln Township, Chester County; Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia and Easton Hospital in Northampton County. Recently, the franchise expanded and now serves Delaware as well as Pennsylvania.

Signal 88 headquarters named Octorara its Franchise of the Year in 2010 and Mentor of the Year in 2011. Most recently, the franchise was named Franchise of the Month in March 2012.

Signal 88 has revolutionized the image of “security guard” with a heightened standard of professionalism in the security field and the introduction and perfection of roving patrols where Signal 88 can advise visual deterrence patrols that can also serve as a solution for loitering, unlocked doors, power outages, lighting assessments, alarm calls, etc.

Signal 88 Security continues its tradition, Re-Engineering the security industry, with the introduction of Virtual Monitoring and Patrolling services, Signal 88’s solution to camera monitoring and response, which launched in the Spring of 2011.
